The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic spirit on 26 January 2026 at S. Ch. V. P. M. R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who highlighted the importance of Republic Day and encouraged students to uphold discipline, responsibility, and commitment towards the nation.
The Vice Principal, Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, addressed the gathering and motivated students to develop good character, social awareness, and dedication in their academic and personal lives. Various cultural and patriotic activities were organized as part of the celebrations.
On this occasion, prizes were awarded to students who emerged winners in the cultural and sports competitions conducted in connection with Republic Day. It was also announced that J. Santharaju, III B.Sc (Honours) Chemistry, was nominated for the Rudraraju Foundation Merit Student Award – 2025, in recognition of his consistent academic excellence and achievements.
The programme concluded on a patriotic note with active participation from staff and students.
