On the occasion of National Income Tax Day, the Department of Commerce of Sri Chintalapati Varaprasada Murthy Raju Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, organized a guest lecture for I, II, and III B.Com students on the topic “Online Income Tax Return Filing” on 24th July 2025.
The resource person for the session was Dr. K. Uttamasagar, Lecturer in Commerce, CSTS Government Degree College, Jangareddygudem. In his engaging talk, he emphasized the importance of tax literacy for students aspiring to build careers in business and commerce. He also gave a comprehensive overview of the process and practical implementation of online income tax return filing.
The session was presided over by Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal of the college, who highlighted the significance of integrating real-world knowledge like taxation into the academic curriculum. Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal appreciated the department’s efforts in enriching students’ understanding of contemporary financial systems.
The interactive session ran from 11:00 AM to 1:15 PM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. A quiz competition on taxation was also conducted as part of the day’s events, which further deepened student engagement and understanding.
