To mark the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, the Women Empowerment Cell of Sri Chintalapudi Varaprasada Murthy Raju Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, organized a special awareness programme on 30th July 2025. The objective of the event was to raise consciousness about the alarming issue of human trafficking and to inspire students to oppose all forms of exploitation and injustice.
Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, and faculty members addressed the students, highlighting the causes, consequences, and preventive strategies related to human trafficking. The sessions were insightful and thought-provoking, fostering a sense of responsibility among the students to contribute towards building a safe and just society. Students responded with enthusiasm and active participation.
In the afternoon session, Principal Dr.P.Nirmala Kumari, Vice-principal Dr.K.Swarupa Rani, WEC Coordinator Smt. P.Bala Manikanta and other faculty members extended the outreach by visiting SCBR ZPPH School for Boys, Ganapavaram, where they conducted an awareness programme for school students, sensitizing them about the risks and realities of trafficking and ways to stay vigilant.
