On 07.08.2025, the Inclusive Centre and Eco Club of the college jointly organized a program to mark National Handloom Day. Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of preserving India’s rich handloom heritage and supporting local weavers. The event was coordinated by Dr. Ch. Anuradha, Inclusive Centre Coordinator, and Dr. Sk. Parveen, Eco Club Coordinator, with the support of Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal.
As part of the celebration, a documentary on Indian Handlooms was screened in the Smart Room for students, showcasing the cultural significance, craftsmanship, and challenges faced by the weaving community. The program inspired students to appreciate and promote sustainable handloom products.
