The Department of History of S.CH.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, celebrated World Tourism Day on 27th September 2025 to highlight the importance of tourism in cultural exchange and economic development.
The program was presided over by Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the role of youth in promoting sustainable tourism and preserving cultural heritage. Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal, and Sri K.V. Ganesh Kumar, IQAC Coordinator, appreciated the efforts of the department in creating awareness on the theme.
The event was coordinated by Sri P. Bhaskara Rao, Lecturer in History, who spoke on the significance of World Tourism Day and its relevance in today’s context. Faculty members and students actively participated in the program, making it meaningful and engaging.
