Elocution Competition on GST 2.0 – Super GST, Super Savings-08.10.2025

As part of the Implementation of GST 2.0 – “Super GST, Super Savings” Campaign, the Department of Commerce organized an Awareness and Elocution Competition on the topic “Revised GST and Its Role in Building a Self-Reliant India.”

The event aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the GST 2.0 reforms, emphasizing their contribution to India’s economic growth and the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Around 30 students participated enthusiastically, sharing insightful perspectives on the new tax reforms.

The programme was presided over by Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, IQAC Coordinator Dr. K.V. Ganesh Kumar, and Programme Coordinator Smt. P. Bala Manikanta.

Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari highlighted that “GST 2.0 is a major step towards simplifying taxes and promoting transparency in our economy. It empowers businesses and citizens alike, contributing to the vision of a self-reliant India.”

Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani emphasized that “GST 2.0 strengthens the nation’s economic foundation by ensuring fairness and efficiency in the tax system.”
Dr. K.V. Ganesh Kumar noted that “GST 2.0 promotes digital transparency and accountability in business transactions, supporting sustainable development.”

Commerce faculty members Smt. B. Rani Durga, Smt. P. Bala Manikanta, and Sri S. Venkanna Babu presented a PPT on GST 2.0 reforms, adding academic depth to the event.

The program concluded with appreciation from the dignitaries for the students’ active participation, enthusiasm, and awareness of national economic reforms.
