The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of S.CH.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child on 11th October 2025 with great enthusiasm. The event aimed to promote awareness about girls’ rights, equal opportunities, and empowerment through education.
Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal, presided over the program and spoke about the significance of empowering girls to build a strong and inclusive society. She highlighted the need to provide a safe, supportive, and equal environment for girls to pursue their dreams.
Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal, and Sri K.V. Ganesh Kumar, IQAC Coordinator, lauded the efforts of the Women Empowerment Cell for organizing the event and inspiring students to take part in discussions on gender equality and empowerment.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Ch. Anuradha, WEC Coordinator & Lecturer in English, and Smt. P. Balamanikanta, Lecturer in Commerce & WEC Member. Students presented posters, speeches, and cultural performances reflecting the strength and resilience of the girl child.
