The Department of Physics of S.CH.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, organized a Guest Lecture on “Career Opportunities for Physics Students” on 22nd October 2025.
Sri Ch. Ramanajaneyulu, Scientific Officer, Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research, Department of Atomic Energy (BARC), Jaipur, Rajasthan, served as the resource person. He is an alumnus of the college and a native of Kommara village, who shared his inspiring journey from being a student of GDC Ganapavaram to becoming a scientist in one of India’s premier research institutions.
During his talk, he discussed career opportunities for Physics graduates in reputed organizations such as BARC, ISRO, DRDO, and other scientific and research establishments. He also elaborated on the importance of Physics in atomic energy, geophysics, and material science, encouraging students to pursue higher education and national-level competitive examinations with determination and vision.
Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal, appreciated the Department of Physics for organizing an insightful and motivating session that would benefit students in understanding career possibilities in the field of Physics.
The programme was attended by Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal, and Sri K.V. Ganesh Kumar, Lecturer in Physics & IQAC Coordinator, who coordinated the event and felicitated the guest.
Faculty members and students from various departments participated in the session and expressed their gratitude to the resource person for his inspiring lecture and valuable guidance.
