The Department of Social Work of S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized a program to commemorate National Education Day on 11th November 2025, marking the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India’s first Education Minister and an eminent freedom fighter.
The program aimed to highlight the importance of education in building a progressive and inclusive nation. Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari appreciated the efforts of the Department of Social Work for organizing the event and emphasized that education is the foundation of social transformation and empowerment.
Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani addressed the students, stressing the significance of lifelong learning and moral values in education. Sri K.V. Ganesh Kumar, IQAC Coordinator, explained the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and its relevance in creating a skilled and self-reliant generation.
The event was coordinated by Dr. G. Venkata Rao, Lecturer in Social Work, who successfully led the activities of the day. Prizes were distributed to students who excelled in essay writing and elocution competitions conducted as part of the celebrations.
The program concluded with a pledge by students and faculty to uphold the values of education and contribute to nation-building through knowledge and service.
