Webinar on “Focus on Strategies to Improve and Avoid Mental Disabilities with Regards to Stress”-03.12.2025

The Department of Computer Applications, in collaboration with Sustainable Acadame, organized an informative webinar on 03 December 2025 titled “Focus on Strategies to Improve and Avoid Mental Disabilities with Regards to Stress.” The programme was conducted as part of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities to create awareness on mental well-being and stress management among students. Thewebinar was coordinated by Sri P.V.Ramesh Babu, Lecturer in Computer Applications.

The session was presided over by Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who highlighted the importance of mental health and encouraged students to develop healthy coping practices. Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani appreciated the initiative and spoke about the need for emotional balance and resilience. IQAC Coordinator Sri K. V. Ganesh Kumar also took part and encouraged students to actively participate in such awareness programmes for their holistic development.

Resource Person

Ms. Nadhia Abdulla, speaker from Sustainable Acadame, delivered an engaging and interactive session focusing on:

  • Understanding the sources and symptoms of stress
  • The impact of stress on mental health and academic performance
  • Simple daily practices such as breathing techniques, mindfulness, time management, and positive thinking
  • Preventive strategies to avoid stress-related mental disabilities
  • The importance of reaching out for help and maintaining emotional well-being

Students interacted enthusiastically, asked questions, and gained clarity on ways to manage stress in their academic and personal lives.
