S. Ch. V. P. M. R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized a Blood Grouping Camp on 05 December 2025 as part of its ongoing health awareness and student welfare initiatives. The programme is organized by Department of Zoology, NSS Unit-II, and Youth Red Cross Society (YRC) and aimed to create awareness about the importance of knowing one’s blood group and to encourage students to participate actively in future health-related activities. Principal Dr.P.Nirmala Kumari appreciated the organizers for this inittiatve.
Objectives of the Camp
To provide free blood group testing for students and staff.
To educate participants on the significance of knowing their blood group during emergencies.
To promote awareness about voluntary blood donation and basic health care.
To maintain accurate health records for students.
Organizing Committee
The event was jointly organized by the Department of Zoology, NSS Unit-II, and Youth Red Cross Society (YRC), supported by faculty members and student volunteers. Dr.Sk.Parveen, Lecturer in Zoology, Sri Sk.Moin Ansari, NSS Unit-II PO and YRC Coordinator Sri Ch.Rajababu coordinated the program.
Resource Persons
Trained students of the college conducted the blood grouping tests. They explained the testing procedure, safety measures, and the importance of blood group compatibility.
