Community Outreach Programme by YRC – Visit to Anganwadi Centres-23.01.2026

The Youth Red Cross Cell of Sri Chintalapati Vara Prasada Murthy Raju Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized a Community Outreach Programme by visiting nearby Anganwadi Centres on 23 January 2026 as part of its social service activities.

The programme was conducted under the guidance and encouragement of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who actively participated in the outreach activity. The programme was coordinated by Sri P. Bala Manikanta, Lecturer in Commerce, and Sri S. Venkanna Babu, Lecturer in Commerce. A total of 10 Youth Red Cross student volunteers took part in the programme.

The team visited four nearby Anganwadi centres, where 45 children were present. As part of the outreach activity, the volunteers distributed slates, fruits, and biscuits to encourage early education and promote healthy nutrition among children. The materials were received by the children with joy and enthusiasm.

On this occasion, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal, personally distributed slates, fruits, and biscuits to the children and addressed the students and volunteers. In her address, she highlighted the importance of community service, compassion, and social responsibility, and appreciated the efforts of the Youth Red Cross Cell for its commitment to serving society.

The programme was also graced by the presence of the Vice Principal, Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Sri G. Venkata Rao, Department of Social Work, and Dr. G. V. Ramana, NSS Coordinator, who encouraged the students and actively participated in the programme.

The Community Outreach Programme provided valuable exposure to students on community welfare activities and strengthened the bond between the college and the local community.
