The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of S. Ch. V. P. M. R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram conducted an Interactive Awareness Session under the RTIH–CCE InnoTribe Programme on 28 January 2026, with the objective of sensitising students towards entrepreneurship and innovation as viable career pathways.
The programme was organized under the guidance and encouragement of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, whose constant support enables the institution to promote innovation, skill development, and startup culture among students. The session was coordinated through the college Entrepreneurship Development Cell in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) in collaboration with the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal and EDC Coordinator. Second and Final Year mentors along with their students actively participated in the session.
During the session titled “From Classroom to Company: Basics of Entrepreneurship”, students were introduced to the structure and phases of the RTIH–CCE InnoTribe Programme, including student nomination, completion of mandatory online foundation courses, motivation assessment, evaluation, and shortlisting for advanced onsite mentoring at Amaravati. The importance of problem identification, innovation mindset, teamwork, and solution-oriented thinking was clearly explained.
Real-life case studies, local entrepreneurship examples, and technology-based innovations were shared to make the session practical and relatable. Students were also made aware of various government support schemes such as Startup India, Stand Up India, MUDRA, Skill India, and MSME initiatives, encouraging them to explore entrepreneurship beyond conventional career choices.
A total of 125 students actively participated in the programme. The session created significant awareness, enhanced students’ understanding of innovation and problem-solving approaches, and motivated many participants to enrol in the RTIH foundation courses and consider entrepreneurship as a future career option.
