The Department of Social Work of S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized a visit to an Old Age Home at Tadepalligudem on 07 March 2026 as part of community outreach and social responsibility activities.
The programme was organized by Dr. G. Venkata Rao, Lecturer in Social Work, who guided the students during the visit and encouraged them to understand the importance of empathy, care, and social service towards the elderly.
During the visit, students interacted with the elderly residents, spent time with them, and expressed their concern and support. The activity helped students understand the challenges faced by senior citizens and created awareness about the need for compassion and social responsibility in society.
On this occasion, the Principal of the college, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, appreciated the initiative taken by the Department of Social Work and encouraged students to actively participate in community service activities that promote humanitarian values and social commitment.
