S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram celebrated World Book Day on 22 April 2026, jointly organized by the Department of English and NSS Units.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who highlighted the importance of reading habits and the role of books in shaping knowledge and personality. On this occasion, Principal madam appreciated the efforts of Record Assistant Smt. J. Nagalakshmi for her active role in maintaining the library services despite the absence of a sanctioned Librarian post.
The event was organized by Dr. G. Venkata Ramana, NSS Unit–I Programme Officer and Dr. Ch. Anuradha, Incharge, Department of English.
Faculty members and students actively participated in the programme, emphasizing the significance of literature, reading culture, and lifelong learning. The programme created awareness about the value of books and encouraged students to cultivate regular reading habits.
