National Technology Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram under the aegis of the Science Association of the College. The program was organized with the objective of fostering scientific temper, creativity, and interest in technology among students.
The event was presided over by Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal, who highlighted the pivotal role of science and technology in national development. She encouraged students to utilize technological advancements for the betterment of society and to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress through innovation and scientific thinking.
Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal, and Sri K. V. Ganesh Kumar, IQAC Coordinator, addressed the students and emphasized the importance of scientific inquiry, research orientation, and innovation in shaping the future.
As part of the celebrations, various competitions and awareness activities were conducted on the theme “Responsible Innovation for Inclusive Growth.” These included a Drawing Competition, PowerPoint Presentation Competition, Elocution Competition, and Quiz Competition. Students enthusiastically participated in the events, showcasing their creativity, knowledge, and innovative ideas. Prizes were awarded to the winners in recognition of their outstanding performance.
The program was coordinated by Sri K. Giribabu, Lecturer in Computer Science. Faculty members Sri N.V.N.B. Srinivasa Rao, Dr. Ch. Chaitanya, Sri Sk. Ansari, Dr. Sk. Parveen, Dr. G. Sarada Devi, Smt. A. Santhi, and other staff members actively participated in the event and contributed to its success.
The celebration provided a valuable platform for students to explore the significance of technology and innovation in achieving sustainable and inclusive development while strengthening their scientific outlook and problem-solving skills.
