The students of SCHVPMR Govt. Degree College are encouraged and assisted in getting placements through on-campus and off-campus job drives. Jawahar Knowledge Center (JKC), the Placement & Training Cell of the College provides training to the students in soft skills, computer skills, analytical skills and communication skills. It conducts mock tests and mock interviews in association with the Career Guidance Cell. Besides, the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation runs a skill development center on the campus.
