Andhra Pradesh Formation Day is celebrated on November 1st every year to commemorate the formation of the state of Andhra Pradesh on November 1st, 1956. This day is celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students and staff of the college, paying floral tributes to ‘Amarajeevi’ Potti Sriramulu who was an Indian freedom fighter, and is revered as Amarajeevi in the Andhra region for his self-sacrifice for the cause of a united state for Telugu-speaking people. The event was organized by the departments of Social Work and History. About 50 students and all the staff participated, and students performed cultural activities like singing patriotic songs and roleplaying freedom fighters.
