Marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25.11.2023, the Women Empowerment Cell of college and Human Relations Club of Inclusive Centre jointly organized different activities. The convener of the WEC and Coordinator of the Inclusive Centre Dr. K. Swarupa Rani made a Poster reflecting the theme of Elimination of Violence against Girls and Women, shared it among staff and students and asked them to share via social media as much as they can to create awareness among the public on the very issue. About 3000 contacts of staff and students used this poster as their WhatsApp status and made this idea successful. After that oath taking session was conducted to all male staff and boy students in college and the oath is “I Take this pledge in the name of my mother I will always treat women with dignity and respect I will never physically or mentally abuse any women I will remain committed to the elimination of violence against women”. In the afternoon session, they screened a movie “BUTTABOMMA”, based on the story of women trafficking to girl students.
