Marking the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule (the first woman teacher in India), the Women Empowerment Cell of our college, in association with the Department of Social Work, organized an awareness session for students. The program was presided over by Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, President of the program, Dr. T. Akkiraju, IQAC Coordinator, Dr. G. Venkata Rao, Lecturer in Social Work, Dr. G. Venkataramana, Lecturer in Telugu, and Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Convener of the Women Empowerment Cell, all of whom addressed the gathering. Hemalatha, a student of III BA, provided a detailed account of the life history of Savithri Bai Phule. Staff and 95 students attended the program.
