125th birth anniversary of the legendary revolutionary leader Sri Alluri Sitarama Raju, also known as the “Manya Dora,” was grandly celebrated under the auspices of NSS Unit 1 & 2 on 04.07.2024 . Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari presided over the event, where she detailed the services rendered by Alluri Sitarama Raju to the tribal people and those living in hilly regions. She explained his revolutionary activities against the British and the attacks he led on police stations to the students.
Following this, floral tributes were paid to the statue and photograph of Sri Alluri Sitarama Raju located in the college premises. As part of the celebration, prizes were distributed to the winners of essay writing, quiz, and elocution competitions.
The anniversary event was attended by the teaching faculty including IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ch.Chaitanya, Dr. T. Akkiraju, Dr. K. Swaroopa Rani, Sri N.V.N.B. Srinivasarao, NSS Unit-1 PO Dr. G. Venkataramana, Dr.Sheikh Parveen, Sk. Moin Ansari, NSS Unit-2 PO P. Bhaskar Rao, along with non-teaching staff, and students.
