Plantation Program under “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan” by NSS Units-06.07.2024

NSS Units 1 & 2 of the institution successfully conducted a plantation program as part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan” initiative on 06.07.2024. The event aimed to promote environmental conservation and honor the nurturing spirit of motherhood by planting trees.

The program commenced with an inaugural ceremony, where Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari addressed the gathering. In her speech, she emphasized the significance of trees in sustaining life and maintaining ecological balance. “Planting a tree is a step towards a greener future. Through this initiative, we not only contribute to the environment but also pay tribute to the selfless care and nurturing spirit that mothers embody,” she said.

Students and faculty members participated enthusiastically in the plantation drive, planting a variety of saplings across the college campus. Each sapling was dedicated to mothers, symbolizing their vital role in nurturing and protecting life. The participants were guided by NSS Program Officers Dr. G. Venkataramana (NSS Unit-1) and Sri P. Bhaskar Rao (NSS Unit-2), who shared valuable insights on the proper techniques for planting and caring for the saplings.
