The Women Empowerment Cell, Department of Social Work, and NSS Units collaboratively organized an Awareness Program on “CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION” (CPR) on 06.04.2024. Honorable Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari presided over the program and suggested students learn and apply this knowledge whenever necessary. The resource person, Dr. P. H. R. Santosh, Civil Assistant Surgeon at the Primary Health Centre, Ganapavaram, detailed the students on the Scientific Process of CPR with a demonstration. He advised students to equip themselves with all types of FIRST AID to help people in critical health conditions. He gave a live example of a CI who worked in PS, Ganapavaram, and died three years back because no one was around him to perform CPR in an emergency condition. “With the knowledge of first aid, we can sometimes protect lives,” he said. Community Health Officer, community health workers, teaching and non-teaching staff, and 120 students participated in the session.
