The Department of Physics of S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized the Birth Anniversary celebrations of Nobel Laureate Dr. C.V. Raman on 7th November 2025. The programme aimed to promote scientific temper and research interest among students.
The event was presided over by Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, In-charge Principal, who highlighted the remarkable contributions of Dr. C.V. Raman to Indian science and the global scientific community. Madam stated that Dr. Raman’s achievements continue to inspire generations of students to pursue innovation and scientific exploration.
Sri K.V. Ganesh Kumar, Lecturer in Physics, explained the significance and applications of the Raman Effect, elaborating on its impact on scientific progress.
Faculty members and students participated enthusiastically, paying floral tributes to the great scientist. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a fitting tribute to one of India’s most distinguished physicists.
