The Department of History of S. Ch. V. P. M. R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram organized a programme on the occasion of the Death Anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
The event was presided over by the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who paid floral tribute to Dr. Ambedkar at the statue located in the college premises.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari highlighted that the principles of equality and social justice enshrined in the Constitution drafted by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar remain highly relevant and must be upheld by every citizen. She emphasized Dr. Ambedkar’s unmatched contribution towards empowering women through education, enabling them to excel in various fields and achieve high positions. She urged students to uphold values of brotherhood, integrity, and social harmony.
Dr.G. Venkata Rao, Department of Social Work explained to the students the significance of the Indian Constitution and the exemplary services rendered by Dr. Ambedkar.
The programme was attended by IQAC Coordinator Sri K. V. Ganesh Kumar, Dr. G. V. Sarada Devi, Sri N. V. N. B. Srinivas, Dr. Ch.Chaitanya, Dr. Sk.Parveen, Smt. Rani Durga, Sri P. Bhaskararao, and several teaching and non-teaching staff members.
