A fresher party is an event typically organized by a student union or other student group for first-year students at a university or college. The purpose of the party is to welcome new students and introduce them to the campus social scene. The final year and second year students and juniors finally bond and unite to celebrate being part of the college.
The Principal, Dr.P.Nirmala Kumari garu, Chief Guest, Dr.N.Venkateshwara Rao garu, Principal DRG GDC Tadepalligudem, Special Guests- Sri.K.Vishnu Srinivasa Rao garu ( CPDC Secretary), Sri.K.A. Venkata Satyanarayana Raju garu (CPDC Member), Sri.N.Sri Ram garu (CPDC Member), Sri.Ch.V.Satyanarayana Raju garu (CPDC Member), Sri.N.V.V. Satyanarayana Raju garu (CPDC Member), Alumni and Students of First Year (batch: 2023-24) – BCom, BSc Computers,BSc Chemistry and BSc Zoology Major students were cordially welcomed by Dr.Ch.Chaitanya, Program Co-ordinator. The program started with lamp lightening and prayer song by Amulya (II MPCs) and Harika (III MPCs). This is followed by the inaugural speech by our Principal, Dr.P.Nirmala Kumari garu and followed by the Special Guests’ speech for the freshers. Refreshments were served in between to all the staff and students. The cake was cut by the Principal, Guests, the HOD of all departments and all faculty members. Lunch was followed after the speeches by Dr.T.Akkiraju garu, IQAC coordinator, Dr.K.Swarupa Rani garu, Women Empowerment cell Coordinator, Dr.G.Venkat Rao garu, Cultural Club Coordinator and Dr.G.Venkata Ramana garu, Career Guidance Co-ordinator. Lunch for the program was sponsored by one of the CPDC Members, Sri.K.A.Venkata Satyanarayana Raju garu (Avanthi Sathibabu).
The Cultural session started by 2:00 pm in the afternoon. This session was hosted by Amulya (II MPCs) and Harika (III MPCs). Freshers along with their seniors got chance to showcase their talent by performing various Dance performances like solo and Group dances. Later small games were organized to make the function more tricky and fun! The event was finally concluded with vote of thanks by Dr.Ch.Chaitanya, program Co-Ordinator.
