As part of the Super GST – Super Savings Campaign, S.CH.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, organized a GST Awareness Rally on 10th October 2025 to educate local traders and the public about the benefits of GST 2.0 reforms.
Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal, flagged off the rally and appreciated the initiative for bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-life economic practices. Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal, and Sri K.V. Ganesh Kumar, IQAC Coordinator, commended the Commerce faculty and students for their active involvement.
During the rally, students distributed awareness pamphlets to local MSME shops in Ganapavaram, explaining how the revised GST rates help in reducing costs and promoting small-scale business growth. The interaction was two-way—students not only created awareness but also gained valuable insights from local shopkeepers about practical challenges in GST implementation.
The activity was coordinated by Smt. P. Balamanikanta, Lecturer in Commerce, under the supervision of the Department of Commerce, with the support of faculty members Smt. B. Rani Durga, Sri S. Venkanna Babu, and other teaching staff.
