Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, organized a Handful of Rice Activity on 25.03.2025, as part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community welfare. This noble initiative aimed to support underprivileged individuals by collecting and distributing rice to the needy.
The event was coordinated by Smt. B. Rani Durga, Lecturer in Commerce, with the active participation of students, faculty, and staff. The college community came together in a compassionate gesture, contributing rice as a symbol of solidarity and empathy towards the less fortunate.
Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Vice Principal Sri P. Madhuraju, and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ch. Chaitanya commended the initiative, highlighting the importance of such activities in fostering social awareness and compassion among students.
The collected rice was distributed to local underprivileged families, making the activity a meaningful contribution towards community support and welfare.
