As part of its commitment to social responsibility and community outreach, Government Degree College, Ganapavaram conducted a “Handful of Rice” (Kuppati Biyyam) donation drive on 01st August 2025. The program was organized under the coordination of Smt. B. Rani Durga, Lecturer in Commerce and Handful of Rice Program Coordinator.
This compassionate initiative, supported by NSS Units I & II, aimed to instill the values of empathy, sharing, and social welfare among students. Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ch. Chaitanya commended the active involvement of students and staff in this meaningful activity.
NSS Programme Officers Dr. D.G. Venkata Ramana (Unit I) and Sri Sk. Ansari (Unit II) facilitated the collection and distribution process. The rice collected was distributed to the needy, reinforcing the college’s spirit of service and the NSS motto — Not Me But You.
