Independence Day Celebrations – 2025 at GDC Ganapavaram-15.08.2025

Sri Chintalapati Varaparasada Murthy Raju Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with grandeur, patriotic fervor, and a spirit of unity. The celebrations were held under the guidance of Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari and Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani.

The festivities began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, followed by the singing of Vande Mataram and the National Anthem. In her address, the Principal highlighted the significance of India’s independence and inspired the students to become responsible citizens who contribute to the nation’s growth. The Vice Principal also encouraged students to uphold the values of freedom and service to society.

As part of the celebrations, the Cultural Committee, headed by Dr. G. Venkata Ramana, Lecturer in Telugu and Cultural Coordinator, conducted a series of literary, cultural, and artistic competitions to engage students and showcase their talents:

  • 06.08.2025: Essay Writing, Elocution, Debate, Quiz, and Drawing Competitions.
  • 07.08.2025: PowerPoint Presentation, Poetry Writing, Letter Writing, Singing, and Traditional Dress Competitions.

These events witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all streams, reflecting their creativity, critical thinking, and patriotic spirit.

Winners of the various competitions were felicitated during the Independence Day celebrations on 15th August 2025. The prize distribution ceremony encouraged students to continue excelling not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities.

The program concluded with the distribution of sweets, symbolizing joy, togetherness, and the spirit of Independence. Faculty, cultural committee members, and students actively participated, making the celebration a memorable and inspiring event.
