The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram observed the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 November to spread awareness about preventing gender-based violence and promoting dignity, respect, and safety for women.
Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari appreciated the initiative and emphasized that creating awareness is essential for building a safe and inclusive society. Madam encouraged students to stand against all forms of violence and to uphold the values of equality and respect.
Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani highlighted the importance of sensitizing young minds on women’s rights and stressed the need for collective responsibility in creating supportive environments on campus and in the community.
The programme was coordinated by WEC Coordinator Dr. Ch. Anuradha, with active support from WEC Member Smt. P. Balamanikanta. Their efforts ensured meaningful interaction and awareness among students.
The Women Empowerment Cell reiterated its commitment to fostering a respectful and violence-free campus environment where women feel safe, valued, and empowered.
