The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of Sri Chintalapati Varaprasada Murthy Raju Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, organized International Women’s Day 8th March on 07.03.2025 to honor and celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in society. The event aimed to promote gender equality and acknowledge the efforts of women from diverse backgrounds.
As a part of the celebrations, 20 underprivileged women from the local community were felicitated with sarees and pasupu-kumkuma. Additionally, the women teaching and non-teaching staff members of the college were honored for their dedicated service in the field of education.
The program was presided over by the Principal, who emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment and the role of education in fostering social change. The event was attended by the Vice Principal Sri P.Madhuraju, IQAC Coordinator Dr.Ch.Chaitanya, faculty members, and students. The celebration was successfully coordinated by Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, WEC Coordinator, with the active participation of the faculty and staff. The event served as a platform to inspire and encourage women to continue striving for excellence in all spheres of life.
