Today, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great poet, modern poet, and a stalwart who made immense contributions to colloquial language, Gurajada Venkata Apparao, a celebration was organized under the aegis of the Telugu Department at Chintalapati Varaprasad Murthy Raju Government Degree College. The event was presided over by Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who addressed the students and spoke about Gurajada Apparao’s contributions. Principal madam mentioned that the song Puttadi Bomma Poornamma written by Gurajada is unforgettable.
IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ch. Chaitanya spoke about how Gurajada made significant contributions to the development of colloquial language. Telugu Department Head Dr. G. Venkata Ramana mentioned that Gurajada’s Kanyasulkam can be considered a gem in Indian literature.
