In compliance with the directions from the Department of Collegiate Education for the observance of International Day of Yoga (IDY) – 2025, GDC Ganapavaram organized a month-long Yoga awareness campaign, coordinated by NSS Units I & II.
The celebrations began on 28.05.2025 with an awareness rally and an enlightening talk by Yoga experts on the importance of Yoga for physical and mental well-being.
As part of the campaign, various activities were planned and executed:
- 11.06.2025 – National-level online quiz on Yoga
- 16.06.2025 – Seminar, poster presentations, and exhibitions
- 17.06.2025 – Mass Yoga session
- 18.06.2025 – Intra- and inter-collegiate Yoga competitions
- 19.06.2025 – Yoga and meditation sessions for students, staff, parents, and community
- 20.06.2025 – Demonstration of the Common Yoga Protocol
- 21.06.2025 – Grand celebration of International Day of Yoga – 2025
A special highlight of the program was the daily Yoga classes conducted from 16.06.2025 to 21.06.2025 by Sri Srinivasarao Garu, certified Yoga Trainer, Bhimavaram for students and staff. These sessions focused on basic postures, breathing techniques, and stress management, and were well-received by all participants.
Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari inaugurated the campaign and appreciated the NSS Units for their efforts in promoting holistic health through Yoga.

The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation and successfully instilled awareness about the importance of Yoga for a healthy lifestyle.
