The Department of Social Work and the Department of Zoology at GDC Ganapavaram, in collaboration with PHC, Ganapavaram, actively participated in the Mother Milk Celebrations Week from August 1st to 7th, 2024. This program aimed to raise awareness among adolescent girls and lactating mothers about the significance of breastfeeding and the precautions to be taken during the pre and post-lactation periods.
The Mother Milk Celebrations Week is an initiative focused on educating communities about the importance of breastfeeding for both infants and mothers. The program was held in PHC Ganapavaram where a series of interactive sessions, lectures, and demonstrations were conducted to disseminate valuable information about breastfeeding. Dr. Kiranmai, PHC Ganapavaram, Smt. Tulasi, ICDS, Supervisor, Dr.G.Venkata Rao, Lecturer in Social Work, Dr.Ch.Chaitanya, Lecturer in Botany and Dr.Sk.Parveen, Lecturer in Zoology along with 20 students have participated in this program.
