National Consumer Rights Day was observed with a series of activities conducted from 18th December 2024 to 24th December 2024. The week-long celebrations aimed to raise awareness about consumer rights and responsibilities among students and the community.
The program was inaugurated by Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who emphasized the importance of being informed and responsible consumers in today’s market-driven economy. Vice Principal Sri P. Madhu Raju and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ch. Chaitanya also addressed the participants, highlighting the relevance of consumer rights education in everyday life.
Under the guidance of Consumer Club Convener Smt. B. Rani Durga, Lecturer in Commerce, a variety of activities were organized, including a pledge-taking ceremony, essay writing competitions, elocution contests, and a rally. Students actively participated in these events, showcasing their understanding of consumer rights and their commitment to spreading awareness.
A notable achievement during the celebrations was M. Aparanjitha of III B.Com (General) securing the First Prize in the District Level Elocution Competition. Her exemplary performance brought laurels to the college and inspired fellow students to strive for excellence.
The program concluded with a resolve to continue efforts in promoting consumer rights and empowering students as vigilant and responsible consumers.
