The Department of Telugu and NSS units of the college jointly organized National Education Day on 11.11.2024 in honor of the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of the Government of India. The event was presided over by the college’s Vice Principal, Sri P. Madhu Raju. Addressing the students, sir spoke about Azad’s pivotal role as the first Education Minister of independent India, highlighting his contributions to establishing IITs and several other national educational institutions. He emphasized the importance of education in modern society, especially advocating for the promotion of women’s education.
As part of National Unity Day, various competitions were conducted for students, including:
- Essay Writing: “The Importance of Women’s Education in Modern Times”
- Drawing: Portrait of Maulana Azad
- Elocution: “Establishing Basic Amenities in National Educational Institutions.”
Prizes were awarded to the winners by Vice Principal Mr. P. Madhu Raju. The event was attended by NSS Unit I and II Program Officers Dr. G. Venkata Ramana and Mr. P. Bhaskar Rao, senior faculty members Dr. T. Akkiraju, Dr. K. Swaroopa Rani, Mr. N.V.N.B. Srinivasarao, Dr. G. Venkataravu, Dr. G.V. Sharada Devi, K. Giribabu, Moyin Ansari, Rani Durga, Bala Manikantha, Venkanna Babu, P.V. Ramesh Kumar, P.D. Swathi, other faculty members, and students, making the event a success.
