National Science Day–2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at S.Ch.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, under the aegis of the Science Association, in accordance with this year’s theme, “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat.”
The programme commenced at 10:30 AM in the Seminar Hall. The event was presided over by the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who stated in her address that science is not restricted to a few individuals but is a way of life, reflected in everything we do. She encouraged students, especially women, to actively participate in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields and contribute towards the vision of a developed India. Docmentray on Sir CV Raman is also screended.
On this occasion, the Principal also released the College Handbook and distributed copies to students.
Various competitions were conducted by different departments to promote scientific temper among students.
