As part of National Voters’ Day, an awareness-cum voter enrollment programme was organized in the college by the Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) in collaboration with the Mandal Revenue Office, Ganapavaram, with the objective of creating electoral awareness and encouraging youth participation in the democratic process.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. G. Venkata Rao, Lecturer in Social Work and Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) Coordinator, who played a key role in organizing the activities and coordinating with the Mandal Revenue Office.
As part of the programme, an awareness session on the importance of voting and electoral responsibilities was conducted in collaboration with the Mandal Revenue Office. During the programme, eligible new voters were identified from I and II Year students, and their voter enrollment was completed with the assistance of the Tahsildar’s office.
The programme was conducted under the guidance and encouragement of Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal, who emphasized the role of educated youth in strengthening democracy. The programme was also supported by Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal, who encouraged students to exercise their voting rights responsibly.
To commemorate National Voters’ Day, competitions were conducted, and prizes were awarded to the winners. Voters’ Day T-shirts, wrist bands, and other Voters’ Day gifts were distributed to newly enrolled voters and participants.
The programme witnessed active participation of faculty members and students and successfully created awareness about electoral rights, duties, and the significance of voting in a democratic society.
