National Youth Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, was observed on 12 January 2026 at Sri Chintalapati Vara Prasada Murthy Raju Government Degree College, Ganapavaram by NSS Units I & II, with the objective of inspiring youth through the ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
The programme was organized under the guidance and encouragement of the Principal, Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, who emphasized the role of youth in nation-building and character formation. The programme was supported by the Vice Principal, Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Lecturer in Economics.
The event was conducted by NSS Programme Officers Dr. G. Venkata Ramana, Lecturer in Telugu (Unit I) and Sri Sk. Ansari, Lecturer in Chemistry (Unit II). Sri K. A. V. Satyanarayana Raju (Avanthi Sattibabu garu), CPDC Secretary, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. CPDC members Sri J. Srinivasa Raju and Sri Nadipalli Sriram also participated in the programme.
As part of the celebrations, competitions were conducted on the eve of National Youth Day, and prizes were awarded to the winners to encourage students’ talents and participation.
The programme witnessed active participation of NSS volunteers and students and successfully highlighted the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s message to today’s youth.
