Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, organized an Open Day on 05.02.2025, inviting students and faculty from Government Junior College and Chanakya Junior College, Ganapavaram to explore the campus, academic programs, and facilities. The event aimed to provide aspiring degree students with first-hand exposure to the college environment.
The program began with the inauguration of an Audio-Visual Presentation on the College, prepared by Sri P. Ramesh Babu, which was launched by Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari. Principal welcomed the junior college students and faculty, emphasizing the importance of informed career choices and the opportunities available at GDC Ganapavaram. “Our institution is committed to providing quality education and holistic development, and we encourage students to take full advantage of the resources available,” she stated.
Dr. G. Sarada Devi, Open Day Coordinator, highlighted the objective of the event, saying, “This initiative helps bridge the gap between school and higher education, guiding students in making confident academic decisions.”
Students had the opportunity to interact with faculty members, visit laboratories, the library, and other facilities, and gain insights into various academic programs. Vice Principal Sri P. Madhu Raju and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ch. Chaitanya emphasized the role of college education in career-building and encouraged students to utilize the resources for their academic growth.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where faculty addressed queries from junior college students, making the Open Day a valuable and enriching experience.\
