In compliance with the circular issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) regarding the “Plant4Mother” Campaign, GDC Ganapavaram organized a special one-day plantation drive on September 17, 2024. The initiative, led by Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, aimed to promote environmental sustainability and encourage students to contribute to green cover as a tribute to Mother Earth.
During the drive, students and faculty members actively participated in planting a variety of saplings within the college premises. Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari highlighted the importance of such initiatives in combating climate change and fostering a sense of responsibility toward nature. The event also included a brief session on the benefits of tree plantation for the environment and future generations.
The “Plant4Mother” drive was a resounding success, furthering the institution’s commitment to ecological conservation and aligning with the national efforts to create a greener India. The event was coordinated by NSS Units I & II Coordinators Dr.G.Venkata Ramana & Sri P.Bhaskararao.
