Eco club of the institution observed Plastic Bag Free Day on 03.07.2024, aligning with global efforts to reduce plastic waste and promote environmental sustainability. The event aimed to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of plastic bags on the environment and to encourage the use of eco-friendly alternatives. Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari who emphasized the importance of reducing plastic consumption. In her address, she stated, “Plastic pollution is a pressing issue that affects not only our environment but also our health. It is our responsibility to adopt sustainable practices and reduce our reliance on plastic bags. Every small step counts in making a significant impact.” IQAC Coordinator Dr.Ch.Chaitanya, Eco Club Convener Dr.Sk.Parveen, Lecturer in Chemistry Sri NVNB Srinivasarao also took part in the program.
