Smt. Savitribai Phule, a renowned Indian social reformer, poet, and educationist who dedicated her life to promoting education, women’s empowerment, and social justice, was honored with a special observance. The program was held to pay tribute to her immense contributions.
Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal of the college, presided over the event and elaborated on the life of Savitribai Phule. She encouraged students to read the biographies of such great individuals to draw motivation from their lives.
Vice Principal Sri P. Madhu Raju, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ch. Chaitanya, WEC Convener Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Dr. T. Akkiraju, Senior Faculty, Dr. G. V. Ramana, NSS Program Officer, and Sri P. Bhaskar Rao, Lecturer in History, addressed the gathering.
All the teaching and non-teaching staff and 80 students participated in the program.
Savitribai Phule Jayanti serves as a reminder of the importance of education, women’s empowerment, and social reform. It highlights the need to continue working towards a more equitable and just society.
