The Department of Physics of S.CH.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, organized a series of activities to commemorate Space Revolution Day from 17th to 25th September 2025, in line with the circular issued by the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, Andhra Pradesh. The celebrations were held under the theme “Innovation for Better Future – Indian Space Programme.”
Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal, inaugurated the programme and highlighted India’s remarkable achievements in space technology. Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal, and Sri K.V. Ganesh Kumar, IQAC Coordinator & Lecturer in Physics, encouraged students to actively participate in space-related academic and awareness activities.
As part of the celebrations:
- An Essay Writing Competition was held on “Father of Indian Space Programme – Dr. Vikram Sarabhai” on 19.09.2025.

- A Poster Presentation on “Chandrayaan-3 Mission” and “Aditya L1 Mission” was conducted on 22.09.2025.

- On 23.09.2025, an Awareness Programme (AV Session) was held showcasing documentaries on “Indian Space Programme,” “Life in Space Station,” and “Journey with the Hubble Telescope.”
- An Oath of Commitment Ceremony was also conducted, where students and faculty pledged their support to space awareness and responsible citizenship.
The program witnessed active participation from students, who showcased creativity, knowledge, and enthusiasm in understanding India’s space journey and future aspirations.
