Super GST – Super Savings Campaign-07.10.2025

As part of the GST 2.0 – Super GST, Super Savings Campaign, S.CH.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, conducted an Essay Writing Competition and an Awareness Programme on 7th October 2025 to sensitize students about the benefits of the revised GST reforms and their impact on the common man and the nation.

Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal, presided over the programme and highlighted how the revised GST 2.0 reforms would reduce household expenditure and boost local entrepreneurship. Smt. R. Baby Srilakshmi, MPDO Ganapavaram, attended as the Chief Guest and explained the role of GST in promoting transparency and economic growth. Sri Balayya, MEO, Ganapavaram, Smt. Veeraveni, Headmistress, Government High School, Ganapavaram, Panchayat Secretary D.Sivaram Prasad and also graced the event and encouraged students to stay informed about national economic reforms.

Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal, and Sri K.V. Ganesh Kumar, IQAC Coordinator, appreciated the efforts of the Commerce and Economics departments for organizing awareness activities that bridge classroom learning with real-world policies.

The event was coordinated by Smt. P. Balamanikanta, Lecturer in Commerce, under the supervision of the Department of Commerce, as part of the Super GST Campaign. Faculty members Smt. B. Rani Durga and Sri S. Venkanna Babu, along with other teaching staff, actively participated and motivated the students.

Students participated enthusiastically in the essay competition on the theme “GST 2.0 – Super GST, Super Savings: Benefits to the Common Man and Nation.” The program concluded with an interactive session that deepened students’ understanding of how GST reforms contribute to building a self-reliant India.
