As part of the “Swarna Andhra – Swachha Andhra” campaign, the Department of Social Work, under the guidance of Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, organized a seminar on E-Waste Management on 19th March 2025. The program aimed to sensitize students on the importance of responsible disposal of electronic waste and its implications on environmental health.
The seminar featured Sri K.V. Ganesh Kumar, Lecturer in Physics, as the resource person, who delivered an informative session on the sources, risks, and management of e-waste. He emphasized the need for individual responsibility in reducing electronic waste and adopting sustainable technological practices.
Dr. G. Venkata Rao, Lecturer in Social Work and coordinator of the program, motivated students to take part in environmental preservation activities. A Swachh Andhra Pledge was administered to all participants, reinforcing their commitment to a cleaner and greener Andhra Pradesh.
The event was actively supported by Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ch. Chaitanya, faculty members, and students, who all contributed to the success of this meaningful initiative.
