As part of the “Swarna Andhra – Swachha Andhra” initiative, Plastic-Free Day was observed on 13.03.2025. The program was coordinated by Dr. G. Venkata Rao, Lecturer in Social Work and the Nodal Officer for this initiative.
Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari inaugurated the program, highlighting the detrimental effects of plastic usage on human health and the environment. She emphasized the need for collective efforts to build a plastic-free society. Vice Principal Sri P. Madhuraju and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ch. Chaitanya also participated and encouraged students to adopt sustainable practices.
During the program, students conducted an awareness campaign in the local community on the dangers of plastic pollution. They explained the adverse impacts of plastic waste and promoted the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling.
The event effectively sensitized both students and the local community on the necessity of minimizing plastic usage and inspired them to contribute towards a cleaner and greener Andhra Pradesh.
