The Youth Red Cross (YRC) Society of S.CH.V.P.M.R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram, actively took part in the “Swasth Nari Swasakth Parivar Abhiyan” nutritional awareness programme held at Saripalle village on 23.09.2025
As part of the college’s adoption of Saripalle village for the academic year 2025–26, YRC members are engaging in multiple community activities including tree plantation, health awareness, and cleanliness drives. This nutritional program formed one of the key activities under this initiative.
Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari, Principal, appreciated the involvement of YRC volunteers in such meaningful outreach, highlighting that empowering women through health and nutrition strengthens families and communities. Dr. K. Swarupa Rani, Vice Principal, congratulated the YRC team for their participation.
The programme was coordinated by Sri Ch. Rajababu, YRC Convener, and Sri S. Venkanna, YRC Member. Local leaders and officials including Smt. Lakshmi Bhavani, Sarpanch of Saripalle, Smt. R. Baby Srilakshmi, MPDO Ganapavaram, and Sri Wilson, CHO, PHC Ganapavaram, participated and addressed the gathering.
The campaign created awareness among women about the importance of balanced nutrition and its role in building a healthier family and society.
