Vande Mataram@150 – Celebrations Begin at GDC Ganapavaram-07.11.2025

To commemorate 150 years of the National Song “Vande Mataram”, S. Ch. V. P. M. R. Government Degree College, Ganapavaram initiated a week-long celebration from 7 to 14 November 2025, following the guidelines of the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, Andhra Pradesh.

The celebrations began with the Mass Singing of Vande Mataram on 7 November 2025, led by Dr. G. Venkata Ramana, NSS Programme Officer (Unit I). Over 150 students, faculty members, NSS volunteers of Units I & II, and non-teaching staff participated enthusiastically, expressing their patriotic spirit and unity.

A committee was constituted under the guidance of Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari and Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani to coordinate the celebrations.

The first phase of the celebrations (7–14 November 2025) includes activities such as Drawing, Patriotic Songs, Seminars, Debate, Essay Writing, and Quiz Competitions, all centered on the theme “Vande Mataram and its Role in India’s Freedom Struggle.”

Principal Dr. P. Nirmala Kumari appreciated the initiative and commended the NSS units, coordinators, and faculty members for their active involvement. She emphasized that such programmes reinforce national pride and remind students of India’s glorious freedom movement. Vice Principal Dr. K. Swarupa Rani also lauded the students’ participation and encouraged them to uphold the spirit of patriotism in all college activities.
